Pacific Service Credit Union Gives to Needy Families During the Holiday Season During this holiday season, Pacific Service Credit Union is teaming up with a variety of organizations in order to provide holiday meals, toys and Christmas trees to needy families. The Credit Union donated $22,500 to the Salvation Army, and Pacific Service CU employees are contributing to the Contra Costa Food Bank, Salvation Army and the Bay Area Crisis Nursery. "As a member of the Bay Area community, we believe that it's important to do our part to assist those in need, especially during the holiday season," said Tom Smigielski, President of Pacific Service CU. "Many of our employees feel the same way and give their time and money to help those less fortunate." The Salvation Army will be using Pacific Service CU’s donation to provide holiday baskets for nearly 600 families throughout the following counties: Marin, Napa, Sonoma, Placer, Sacramento and Santa Clara.
