About Us

Founded in 1936 by Pacific Gas & Electric Company employees, Pacific Service Credit Union is dedicated to providing trustworthy products and services to over 70,000 members to help them achieve their financial goals and strengthen their financial lives. Today, 90 years later, we are a full-service financial institution with over $1.3 billion in assets. Pacific Service CU serves anyone who lives, works, worships, or attends school in Alameda, Contra Costa, Fresno, Marin, Napa, Placer, Sacramento, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano and Sonoma counties.

For the past 11 years, Pacific Service CU has been recognized by the San Francisco Business Times and Silicon Valley Business Journal as a Top Corporate Philanthropist – joining a select group of organizations that contribute more than 2% of their net earnings to charitable causes. This recognition reflects our deep, ongoing commitment to making a meaningful and measurable difference where our members live and work.

Each year, Pacific Service CU contributes more than $200,000 to over 30 nonprofit organizations serving the Bay Area and Central Valley. Our philanthropic efforts support a wide range of community needs, including financial education, support for children and families, and essential human services. Organizations that benefit from our corporate giving include Children’s Miracle Network, the Marjaree Mason Center, Youth Homes, the Food Bank of Contra Costa & Solano, and the Monument Crisis Center.

Our impact extends beyond financial contributions. Employees are provided volunteer time off to actively give back – empowering our team to give back and reinforcing our culture of service both in the workplace and throughout our communities.

In 2025, Pacific Service Credit Union conducted more than 300 on-site visits, delivering financial education, resources, and personalized support directly to workplaces and community nonprofit partners. These efforts reflect our mission to enhance the financial future of both current and future members while strengthening the communities we serve.
